5 Signs you’re The Coolest Dude at College

Coolest Dude

Coolest Dude

Trends come and go, but the one label that is always not only in style but eternally chased is the ‘cool’ label. Now, you may not be aware of it, but there are definite tell tale signs that give away your level of coolness. Sometimes they’re elusive and hard to put a finger on, and other times they are obvious and conspicuous. We know you’re dying to know whether you fit the profile of the coolest guy on campus, so we’ve comprised a list of five definite signs. If any, or all of this ring true – well, you’re the coolest guy in school, and if not, use the signs as guidelines and turn yourself into one.

You’re not an attention seeker

One of the most prominent qualities of cool people is their lack of need to be the center of attention. You’re effortlessly interesting and witty and people are naturally drawn to you, always dying to strike up a conversation. Still, when the shift focuses from you to someone else you don’t feel the urge to desperately bring all eyes and ears back to you. You let other people have the spotlight and if someone wants to be in your company – they’ll approach you, but you certainly don’t jump through hoops to get everyone’s attention. This is because you don’t measure your self-worth through external validation. You know what you’re worth and are aware of your qualities, and that shines through without you even trying.

College is a fashion battlefield

fashion battlefield

You’re smart enough to know that in today’s world your sense of style is one of the things based on which you’re judged. College is not that different from high school, so you do your best to dress nicely. Still, you’re not a slave to trends. You are fashion-savvy and you know how to incorporate trendy pieces to your already defined and unique style so you don’t look like everyone else. You dress in a way that reflects your personality and wear clothes you feel comfortable and confident in, but still have no need to follow every trend at all cost. You’re the perfect balance between form and substance and you know that, while style may account for a lot, it’s definitely not everything.

Eco-friendly = cool

You’re the good guy who never litters, you recycle and do everything in your power to make our planet a better, healthier place. You know that change starts with you, and so instead of flaunting your ‘coolness’ by arriving to school in a cool car, you’re being even cooler by going around on a blue self balancing scooter or riding a bike. You know that it’s important to be aware of your ecological footprint, and that in turn it makes you not only cool but irresistible to girls. After all, there is nothing sexier than the guy who cares.

Smart is the new sexy

Sexy smart

You have a great GPA, why? Because you know how competitive it is out there in the real world and you want to make sure you do everything in your power to succeed in the real world. Long gone are the days when smart guys were called geeks and nerds – now, you rule the world. Everyone cares about your opinion and everyone seeks your help and advice. You’re a goal getter, and right now, thank god, there is nothing cooler or sexier than a guy with whom people can have a meaningful conversation, a guy who has something to say.

A feminist at heart

Although you have moves and girls are swooning over you, you never objectify women. You treat them as equals that they are and you’re an openly self-proclaimed feminist. In turn, you’re the envy of every guy there. They’re all wondering how you’ve managed to always be surrounded with a bunch of girls who love hanging out with you. They don’t know that the secret is respect and great listening skills. You’re aware that believing in equality makes you a better human being. The truth is, there is nothing cooler than genuine goodness.

5 Bachelor Party Ideas For Crazy AF Guys

Bachelor Party Ideas

Bachelor Party Ideas

Do you consider yourself a wild card in your own right? Are you certifiably insane as per professional diagnoses by your closest friends? Are you Connor McGregor insane? Probably not. But you might be coming in close second, and that is in itself, is an amazing feat. Therefore, you want to use your innate talent to create unforgettable experiences with your pack and organize an insane bachelor party for your best friend in order to give him a proper send-off into the calm, monotonous waters of married life.

Good. He deserves it. However, the deed might be easier said than done, so here to help you become the greatest best man in human history are the top five bachelor party ideas for the craziest of all wolf packs.

A distant city or a distant country?

The question is not whether you should take your best friend and groom to be on an insane road trip somewhere where his future wife won’t be able to find him, the question is how far should you go. Mind you, traveling abroad is always fun, but if you’re not in your own country and have a detailed blueprint of your subsequent inebriation, you might want to stick with familiar territory.

So, another city perhaps? Or better yet, a different country, but the language is the same so as to avoid finding yourself unable to explain your actions as you’re being thrown into a holding cell. Remember, unless you’re visiting Sweden, you don’t want to end up in a foreign jail.

The fun starts in the morning

fun morning

A bachelor party is not solely an evening event, oh no, an off-the-hook bachelor party starts in the morning and doesn’t end until all of you drunkenly stumble into the groom’s wedding the following day. Hey, the man is getting married for God’s sake, you’ll probably never see him again, he deserves a big party.

Be sure to take the boys out on an adventure early on. Whether you’re going into the great outdoors, or plan to spend the day trying to kill yourselves through various means of extreme sports, the choice is yours, just make sure the party doesn’t stop.

Keep the pack tight

This one should be plainly understood from the get-go, yet people seem to overlook it constantly: you don’t need a lot of people. A wolf pack is a sacred bond among men who have become brothers through trials of sickness, adversity, and inebriation. You do not need to bring the entire class of 2007, just your most loyal compadres.

Ditch the stripper

Stripper

Really, a stripper is the fruit of your collective imagination? It’s not the nineties anymore, and you’re no longer a bunch of kids playing pocket snooker while watching a young Demi Moore strut her enchanting stuff. You need something different, something new, something that will keep the fire burning all night long.

This is the moment you turn to the collectively insane nation of Australia for guidance and inspiration. Aussies are notorious for their ability to party like there’s no tomorrow, and the latest trend entails booking gorgeous topless poker dealers to wait on you from the moment the pre-party poker game begins to the moment you say your farewell in the early morning hours. Yes, that’s right, the waitresses are mind-blowingly hot, friendly, and they will make any stripper feel like a ghost of a forgotten past.

Have the night of your life

That said, the main event in the evening needs to be the night of your best friend’s life. Forget about the rest of the pack, they’re big boys, they can take care of themselves. Your sole purpose is to ensure the groom enjoys himself, so make sure to stick by his side, keep him on a healthy dose of booze so as not to pass out and don’t let him for a moment ponder over the fact that he has been very, very naughty – his wife to be doesn’t ever have to find out.

One could say that being a crazy AF bloke has its perks, but one could also note that it can be tiring work at times. Fortunately, you don’t have to spend a single brain cell more, just follow this foolproof guide and you will have organized a bachelor party your best friend will cherish forever!

5 Tips for Men That Want to Find Inner Peace

Find Inner Peace

Find Inner Peace

Finding inner peace is not an easy task, right? It sounds perfectly simple, but the truth is that even for peace you have to fight. Think about what matters to you the most.

What makes you feel calm, composed, and most of all, happy? Is it your family? Is it someone else? Or, maybe, just maybe, is it you who makes you happy? If not, then you need to change that. You need to accept yourself for who you are, and not who others would like you to be.

Some say that peace lies in security. It is simply about cleaning up your life and finding a way to get motivated. Others would say that it’s about forgiving and letting go. The truth is probably somewhere in between because everything you do shapes you as a person.

Do you want to change yourself and finally become the person you’ve always wanted to be? Then let’s get started.

Know yourself

Do you really know who you are? We all have those low moments where we don’t think much of ourselves. Fortunately, there’s a way to change that. Make a list of all the qualities that you value and those you intend to work on. Ask yourself these questions:

  • Do I want to be a better person?
  • What difficulties lie ahead of me?
  • What principles matter to me?

Ask yourself these questions every single day and don’t worry if you have a different answer each day. That’s perfectly normal. Priorities can change, and so can you.

Forget about perfectionism

Be perfect

You’ll never be perfect. That sounds harsh, but that’s the truth. And guess what? That’s completely fine. Nobody’s perfect, we all have flaws. Forget about trying to do everything the right way, and accept yourself. Don’t beat up yourself for not leading a perfect life.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Start small – Improve your health, broaden your mindset, and the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place.

Be patient

There’s one incredibly important thing that you need to know – Not everyone chooses to live their lives in the same way you do. That’s why you should always be patient and understanding with people who are different than you, and always communicate with those people in a way that will give you peace of mind.

At the end of the day, you’ll have to live with the consequences of your actions, and they will have to live with theirs. That’s why you should always take a deep breath and think about what you want to say. Some people will try to annoy you just because they’re bored, so don’t fall into their trap.

Meditate

your goal is peace

If your goal is peace, love, kindness, and of course, happiness, then begin your journey by closing your eyes and becoming one with nature. Being spiritual and meditating has nothing to do with religion. Tibetan monks have been using prayer flags for centuries to promote wisdom, strength, compassion, and peace. Those four things are exactly the things you need to strive for if you want to find inner peace. Put those flags around your home and let the wind blow away your mantras and prayers into the world. Those who love others and wish everyone well always get the same back. What goes around comes around.

Plan and think long term

This is important because of one simple reason – You won’t get easily irritated and become angry by small things and people if you have a long-term plan.

Losing your temper might be tempting from time to time because we all like to vent, but negative emotions are not what you need when you’re trying to find inner peace. Always think about your goal and never let tiny things annoy you.

Practice love and acceptance and you’ll never feel angry, bored, or irritated. Happiness is not something that you can easily find. It’s rather attained by living the way you want. Let go of prejudices, be patient with others and with yourself, as only that way you’ll find inner peace.

Improve Your Health During Summer in 3 Easy Steps

During Summer

During Summer

Ah, summer! That wonderful time of the year when you get to relax and enjoy everything good that life has to offer. If you were active during winter and spring, and you’ve got your beach body ready, then you probably don’t have to worry about a thing now, right?

Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. Staying healthy during hot summer days can be a challenge, but don’t worry, there are a few things you can do that will improve your overall health while your feet are deeply buried in the sand.

Hydrate your body

Human beings are basically 80 percent water. We’re actually conscious water blobs walking around on a hot rock that’s floating through space. That’s exactly why you need to stay hydrated at all times.

Your health will improve if you drink plenty of water. Always carry a bottle of water with you if you plan on staying outside for longer than an hour.

Keeping your skin moisturized is also of utmost importance, and unfortunately, you can’t really do that by just drinking water.

Fortunately, we already live in the future, and there are products that can seriously multitask. Shield your skin with a moisturizer with an SPF and don’t worry about spending the whole day on a beach.

Adjust your diet

Adjust your diet

Summer is the perfect time for surfing and beach parties, but it’s also the time for barbecues. Unfortunately, the weather is not the only thing that gets hot in the summer. Our bodies heat up as well, which makes summer the ideal time to turn to a healthier diet. Foods that we eat can affect our bodies in numerous ways, and they can affect our digestion too.

Hot and spicy foods don’t mix with summer, no matter what your gran told you. If you want to stay fit and healthy, your best bet would be visiting the nearest vegan shop and putting everything they have into your beach bag.

One more important thing to keep in mind is that hot weather will decrease or completely kill your appetite.

Don’t worry, that’s completely normal. That only means that you have to find a different way to stay healthy, and you can do that by adding supplements to your diet. Chia seeds, probiotics and vitamin D will boost your health and supplement your diet perfectly.

Exercise

You’ve probably already read in some health magazine for men that exercising is good for your body. It is, it really is – if you know how to properly work out while the air is humid and the weather is hot.

Summer is everyone’s favorite time of the year because there are so many outdoor activities that they can choose from. Everything is much more exciting and fun outside. Because of that, forget about going to your local gym during summer.

Step out and stay out. Swim, run or cycle. Compete with your friends. Breathe that fresh air while the sun is shining. Stay healthy and get an amazing tan while you’re working out.

exercising is good

You might not be exercising in the Sahara, but keep in mind that you need to be careful when exercising during summer.

  • The time of day is important so try to avoid exercising from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. since that’s the hottest part of the day.
  • Wear light-colored T-shirts. Loose, light-colored garments made of cotton will make you feel comfortable and will help your skin breathe.
  • Avoid drinking sport drinks because they’re loaded with calories. Drink only water, and drink plenty of it.

The most important thing to do during summer is to unwind and relax. Eat moderately and eat healthily. Exercise only when it’s not too hot outside. Protect your skin at all times and stay hydrated. If you do all these things, you will improve your health during summer incredibly!

5 Cocktails Every Man Needs to Know How to Make

Every Man Needs

Every Man Needs

Cocktails are like art – when you embark on making them, you walk a fine line between exquisite end-result and total sludge fest. There are thousands of recipes around the world that have contributed to the cocktail “subculture” that has only managed to thrive in these times of hedonism.

However, you don’t have to be the cocktail master of arts to know how to make some of the sophisticated classics. Just like with everything else – practice makes perfect and these are 5 cocktails every man needs to know how to make.

Bloody Mary

Let’s start off with a classic and a perfectly faithful companion of many brunches. Bloody Mary is one of those cocktails everybody has heard of before they even hit puberty, and many of those eager kids have tried the “virgin” variant which is basically half-a-meal in a glass. Even though it has two prevalent basic ingredients – vodka and tomato juice, it’s far from crude and there are additional elements that make all the difference.

You’ll need a pinch of salt and half-a-pinch of pepper on the rim of a glass. Four ounces of tomato juice go with one or two ounces of vodka, depending on the strength you want to achieve. One teaspoon of lemon juice and horseradish, 4 dashes of Tabasco sauce, 8 dashes of Worcestershire sauce and a celery stalk. Ice cubes are optional.

Mojito

Man Needs to Know

Here’s another classic in a highball glass that often serves as a “gateway” drink in its virgin form. Two measures of white rum go with 1 teaspoon of sugar syrup (or mint syrup), fresh mint leaves, 4 teaspoons of lime juice and soda water on top. Just remember – syrup and mint leaves go in first, on the bottom, then you add other ingredients before soda water. This cocktail is usually served with churned ice.

Old fashioned

The name itself creates a degree of expectation – it sounds like a drink of an accomplished businessman who enjoys it in his leather armchair by the fireplace after a hard day’s work at the office, and no wonder – since it was popularized through the shows like Mad Men. To make it, you’ll need a double measure of bourbon, half a teaspoon of brown sugar, a dash of soda water and 4 dashes of Angostura Bitter. After stirring it, just add a handful of large ice cubes and stick an orange slice at the rim of the short and stubby glass.

Martini

How to Make

How can we make this list without accounting for James Bond’s favorite (though to be fair, he favors a very specific “vodka martini shaken not stirred”)? As far as taste goes, we can’t go against the word of 007, however, there is one little thing that’s important to mention – it’s actually stirred, not shaken, and it makes a difference. Apart from this, it’s a surprisingly easy drink to make since there are only several basic ingredients that are important.

The sophistication and nuances in taste are all up to you and your skill. You’ll need three measures of high-quality dry gin and a single measure of vermouth. It’s preferable if the mixing glass is chilled and as you pour the mixture into it, stir slowly for 30 seconds. Add an olive and a twist of lemon into the martini glass and pour it.

Manhattan

Manhattan is secretly beloved by all true whiskey drinkers, and no, before the thought even pops up, whiskey and bourbon are not the same drink, period. Every true man knows this. A likely fictitious story goes – a particular Dr. Iain Marshall concocted the drink at the Manhattan Club in New York City in the early 1870s for a banquet hosted by Jennie Jerome. The popularity of the drink spread from there, apparently, and its recipe even reflects the New York City’s area code 212 – 2 ounces of rye whiskey, 1 ounce of Italian vermouth and 2 dashes of Angostura Bitter.

Some narrow-minded tongues would dare flap about how cocktails are, in general, for girls. Of course, this is an absolute nonsense. Every man that is concerned about his image should know how to make at least five cocktails and have one he personally favors above all others. After some time, you can become experienced enough to even start experimenting and creating your own recipes and tweaks to the existing cocktails. These few renowned, basic cocktails are only the beginning.
